Due to a major market shift with the accompanying need for a change in the size and structure of the organization, Hershey brought in a new CEO from outside the "family." Employees were offered the opportunity to select an "early out" or to take responsibility for finding an appropriate career within the new organization.
To support this effort, CDT:
- Provided career management training to a large proportion of Hershey employees.
- Trained Hershey managers to coach their employees toward job and career growth.
- Provided individual coaching to selected managers.
The program was credited with assisting in a successful shift in the Hershey organizational culture toward a more responsible, self-reliant, and contributive work force.
